JOB SUMMARY

The Hivunikȓaq Uqautchiptigun Aulapkaiȓuaq leads the planning, development, and delivery of community-based language revitalization programs, working closely with the Capacity Manager to secure funding and ensure successful program execution. They actively engage with ISR communities to gather feedback and tailor programming to local needs, collaborating with other departments and language workers within ISR and Inuit Nunangat to promote initiatives. The role involves sharing language revitalization projects through social media and public forums, building partnerships to strengthen community efforts. Additionally, the Language Revitalization Coordinator conducts research, handles administrative tasks, and fosters strong relationships with stakeholders to support the program’s success.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be a beneficiary of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement (IFA).
