HVAC & Building Automation Technician

Overview

Join Trane Technologies as a recent graduate in HVAC, building automation, or a related field, and gain hands‑on experience in our Montreal lab supporting prototype testing and product readiness for commercial deployment.

Responsibilities

• Support setup, organization, and maintenance of the new office lab environment.
• Assist with testing and qualification of thermostats, sensors, controllers, gateways, edge devices, and related building automation hardware.
• Help validate device connectivity, provisioning workflows, point mapping, and basic communication using protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, MQTT, Wi‑Fi, and Ethernet.
• Reproduce field issues in the lab and document test results, observations, and troubleshooting steps.
