Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (Idva) - The Bridge Project (Lotus Project)

Kirklees Council is advertising this role on behalf of The Bridge Project. The Bridge Project has been supporting individuals, families and communities since long ago, working across a range of services including homelessness, substance misuse, sex working, housing and employment. The Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) will be based in the Lotus Project team but will work across other multi‑need teams within the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver frontline IDVA case holder services to individuals accessing the Lotus Project and other multi‑need teams who are experiencing domestic abuse and/or sexual violence related trauma.
• Report to the Lead IDVA/ISVA, working collaboratively within the team.
• Provide direct, practical and timely casework for individuals of any gender, supporting them to divert from or exit sex work and to address the impact of abuse on health and wellbeing.
