General Purpose

The Indigenous Student Recruitment Officer (ISRO) is responsible for the development and delivery of targeted recruitment and conversion initiatives to increase the number of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis students applying to and enrolling at the University of Guelph.

Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, Student Recruitment, the ISRO leads Indigenous-focused outreach and engagement activities that are grounded in relationship-building, respect, and reciprocity. The role builds and maintains meaningful connections with Indigenous communities, organizations, schools, and prospective students and their supporters.

Working as part of the Student Recruitment team within Admission Services, the ISRO contributes to institutional commitments outlined inBi Naagwad | It Comes Into View and supports community-informed approaches to recruitment and access.
