• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years


• Mechanical engineering/mechanical technology/technician
• Engineering design
• Industrial and product design
• or equivalent experience

Tasks

• Read blueprints to determine work requirements
• Computer-aided design (CAD)
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, specifications and guidelines for production and construct prototype of design
• Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts
• Prepare shop drawings
• Conduct quality control
• Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
• Develop detailed plans and 3-D models showing arrangement of walls, dividers, displays, lighting and other fixtures
