The Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University is North America’s most comprehensive marine institute dedicated to education, training, applied research, industrial response, and technology transfer supporting oceans industries. Within the Marine Institute, the School of Maritime Studies is involved in various education, research, and training for the marine industry. This includes three and four-year technology diplomas covering all aspects of the marine transportation industry, including Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Naval Architecture, and Marine Engineering Systems Design programs, as well as technical certificate programs in Marine Diesel Mechanics and Bridge Watch Rating.
