Overview

The Division of Internal Medicine at the West Coast General Hospital has an opportunity for a full‑time General Internist. The successful candidate will provide a full spectrum of General Internal Medicine, including Intensive Care and Coronary Care capabilities for a 45,000‑population referral base. Cardiac stress testing, pulmonary function, 24‑hour Holter and 24‑hour blood pressure monitoring are available on site.

West Coast General Hospital is a modern facility (built in 2001) with 52 acute‑care beds (3 ICU). Clinical services include a 24‑hour emergency department, ambulatory care, acute medical/surgical and psychiatry services, cardiopulmonary services, diabetes education, laboratory, medical imaging (CT scanner), nutrition counseling, pharmacy and physiotherapy. Clinical specialists include anesthesiology, general surgery, urology, obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, and radiology with a PACS imaging system.
