The project will emphasize CFD prediction and validation of NOx emissions in gas turbine engines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare combustion chamber geometry using ANSYS CAD tools.
• Mesh geometry using ANSYS meshing tools.
• Review NOx prediction models in open literature and compare them to models implemented in ANSYS Fluent.
• Perform combustion CFD simulations in ANSYS Fluent with a primary focus on predicting NOx emissions.
• Review combustor NOx data measured on engines to understand key variables and measurement details.
