Journeyperson (PSE)

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Province of Alberta, ENMAX Corporation, A.E.U.C. (Alberta Electrical Utility Code) and Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Commission, troubleshoot, repair and maintain high‑voltage transformers, circuit breakers, instrument transformers and related equipment.
• Work on construction, maintenance and protection/control areas of high‑voltage electrical substations.
• Operate and maintain mechanical and electromechanical relays, remote terminal units (RTUs), SCADA systems, human machine interfaces (HMIs), protection and control circuits, and other relay‑related processes.
• Recognize, assess and control potentially hazardous situations in the work environment.
• Ensure proper care and use of vehicles, equipment and work sites.
