Junior Clinical Fellowin Neurosurgery (Saskatoon)

Role Overview

NHSGGC is seeking a junior doctor (FY2) to join the Department of Neurosurgery at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for a fixed‑term, 12‑month contract commencing August2026.

Shift Pattern & Working Hours

Shift pattern: Mon‑Sun early/late, nights/weekends/on‑call. The successful candidate will take part in the on‑call, out‑of‑hours rota as part of a 10‑person FY2 team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in‑patient ward care for neurosurgical patients.
• Assess admissions and manage acute patients on the wards and in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
• Organise and collate test results and complete immediate discharge summaries.
• Attend in‑house meetings in neuro‑surgery and neuro‑radiology.

• GMC registration and licence to practice in the UK.
