Land Based Facilitator

Job Overview

Montreal Lake Child and Family Agency Inc. is offering a one‑year contract position as a Land Based Facilitator at Montreal Lake 106A and Little Red 106B.

Responsibilities

Provide Woodland Cree traditional land‑based teachings through hands‑on learning in a wilderness and/or camp setting; deliver cultural knowledge to Camp Home and Prevention relatives; support First Nation self‑sustainability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in traditional land‑based practices (hunting, fishing, trapping, wilderness survival, gun safety, water safety)
• Ability to lift 50 lb or more
• All related safety tickets (CPR/first aid, gun safety, wilderness survival)
• Fluency in Woodland Cree; extensive knowledge of First Nations culture, practices, protocols, customs and belief systems
• Computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office
