LEAD CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Summary This position is located in the Defense Information Systems Agency, SS/Procurement Services Directorate (PS5). Responsibilities Serves as a Contracting Officer responsible for solicitation preparation, evaluation, cost price analysis, negotiations, source selection, contract writing, contract award and mods and termination for communications systems. Serves as Team Lead responsible for training and workload distribution. Provides advice/guidance to team members. Serves as a consultant to the Branch Chief as well as an advisor to customer and project management personnel in procurement planning meetings. Conducts meetings with vendors and foreign government telecom agencies to ensure clear understanding of contract requirements. Communicates complex information, both orally and in writing, to provide clear, comprehensive advice and guidance.
