Lead Legal Advisor

Overview

The Assistant General Counsel will be a member of the S&P Global Corporate Data Privacy, Protection and Information Governance Team, reporting directly to the Assistant General Counsel, Data Privacy. The role involves preparing legal advice, conducting regulatory research and analysis, and supporting S&P Global’s cyber incident response, data incident response, and procurement and vendor contracting processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate data protection addendums and similar contractual terms.
• Maintain and draft contract template language related to data privacy, data protection, and information governance.
• Work with various stakeholders across the company to ensure controls are compliant with applicable law.
• Interact with, and resolve, data protection legal issues across all business functions, affiliates, subsidiaries, and acquisitions.
