Legal Counsel, M&A

Overview

Our client is a private equity firm in Downtown Toronto.

Base pay range

CA$150,000.00/yr - CA$275,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a range of transaction documents, including purchase agreements, limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, and side letters
• Review and negotiate various firm-related agreements, contracts, and supporting documentation
• Build strong working relationships and collaborate closely with internal teams on transactional and firm-wide matters
• Manage and direct external legal counsel and advisors to support transactions and related initiatives

Qualifications

• 2-6 years of corporate M&A experience.
• Experience with private equity, debt or funds is an asset but not required.
• A license to practice in Ontario.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and drafting skills.
