Legal Counsel Vacancy – Litigation and Enforcement Purpose of Position Accountable to provide litigation services and legal counsel as a member of the Litigation and Enforcement function for FSRA, supporting FSRA’s mandate and responsible for the prosecution function.

Key Responsibilities

Provides legal advice and assumes carriage of litigation matters for the enforcement of FSRA’s regulatory framework and ensures high standards of business and market conduct in financial services sectors regulated by FSRA.

Has carriage of regulatory enforcement and quasi-criminal matters and prosecutes before the Financial Services Tribunal and/or Provincial Court.

Undertakes legal research and analysis on a variety of complex legal matters involving the regulation of financial services in Ontario.
