Legal Counsel

Overview Reporting to the General Counsel, this position is a key addition to Onni's in-house litigation practice. You will take ownership of a diverse litigation portfolio, managing matters from pre-litigation through to resolution across British Columbia and, as required, other jurisdictions. The role offers meaningful exposure to sophisticated commercial disputes and an opportunity to contribute directly to the legal strategy of a major real estate enterprise.

What You Will Do

Manage and oversee civil litigation matters including construction disputes, contract claims, leasing disputes, and regulatory proceedings

Instruct and supervise external litigation counsel; provide strategic direction on file management, litigation budgets, and risk assessment

Conduct early case assessments, prepare litigation strategies, and advise internal stakeholders on exposure and recommended course of action
