Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse who has always wanted to work with mothers and babies? Unit 25 (Postpartum) is looking for LPNs who are passionate about maternal/child nursing. We offer a classroom based orientation program with buddy shifts to facilitate learning and skill development. If this is an area you have always wanted to work in, come join our team and we will learn together! The preferred candidate for this unit is one who has a strong interest, experience and ability to provide family centered care to the postpartum patient, newborn and family. Experience in postpartum and newborn assessment is a definite asset. Candidates who enjoy teaching and supporting patients in the parenting role will find this role rewarding. Additional education in breastfeeding support will be beneficial. *Please note the start dates will vary depending on individual orientation requirements.
