Lm852: Manager Vehicle Planning & Ground Support Equipment Maintenance

To control maintenance of Company vehicles and GSE through FedEx vehicle technicians, CMS administrators and commercial shops ensuring that fleet requirements are met in a timely and efficient manner and properly
reflect corporate standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Selects, trains, develops, and motivates a staff of CMS administrators and technicians; administers annual
operating expense budget.
2. Evaluates training requirements and programs for mechanics and administrators through in-house courses,
manufactures, and various training companies.
3. Evaluates effectiveness of commercial garage services and implements improvements or changes as
required.
4. Inspects the fleet’s mechanical, paint, and body condition to ensure compliance on a regular basis.
5. Provides vendors and technicians with work instructions of necessary repairs and ensures that the repairs are
completed on a timely basis.
