Job Summary

The Regional Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a Local Department Head at Langley Memorial Hospital. Responsibilities include:

• Participating in the Site Operations Committee or equivalent for the facility.
• Functioning as the channel of communication to and from the regional department to keep members informed about Fraser Health, HAMAC and departmental objectives, policies and general activities, and to ensure regional departments are aware of facility-specific issues.
• Collaborating with the Regional Department Head (RDH) to recommend appointment of practitioners and the renewal of medical staff membership and privileges.
• Coordinating the requirements of programs operating within the facility.
• Promoting health and wellness among members.
