Island Health is seeking a locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist for the Royal Jubilee Hospital, a tertiary care facility with 500 beds. You will be part of a collegial team, focusing primarily on cardiac procedures, which make up 60% of your practice. Duties include managing a 24-hour CVU and participating in general anesthesia when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide cardiac anesthesia services during procedures
• Manage a 9-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit
• Conduct preoperative assessments for cardiac surgeries
• Offer peri-operative TEE service for cardiac cases
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents
Requirements:
• Full licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
• CMPA Membership and PALS certification
