Maintenance Mechanic Basic Function To thrive in this role, you should have a valid 309A or 442A electrician certificate, an impeccable safety record, and you must be reliable and show initiative. Responsibilities Conducting routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment and machinery. Repairing basic mechanical components and replacing parts. Documenting and tracking changeover times. Following safety rules and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout program. Ensuring a safe work environment. Requirements 3-5 years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. Valid electrician certificate (309A or 442A).
