Manager, Clinical Skills Program

Job Summary

The Clinical Skills Manager leads the administration and operationalization of the Clinical Skills curriculum for Years 1‑2 of the Medical Undergraduate Program (MDUP) across the Vancouver Fraser Medical Program (VFMP) sites. The role ensures that schedules, materials and delivered sessions are comparable between the four distributed UBC Medical Education sites and supports a seamless delivery of more than 1,500 small‑group sessions per year.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct delivery timelines, team workflow and human resources for Clinical Skills courses (MEDD 411, 421, 412, 422).
• Ensure comparable schedules, materials and delivered sessions across the UBC Medical Education sites.
• Collaborate with Program/Course Managers, team leads and partner sites to meet accreditation needs and requirements.
• Coordinate hybrid work arrangements (3‑4 days per week in‑office) and regular travel to hospital and university sites.
