Manager, Fiscal and Economic Policy

The Department of Finance is a central agency and the primary advisor to the Government of Nunavut (GN) on all fiscal, financial and human resource matters. With more than 200 employees working in Iqaluit, Cambridge Bay, Rankin Inlet, and Igloolik, Finance ensures the government uses public funds in a way that is accountable and sustainable. The Manager works in Iqaluit and makes decisions that impact all GN departments and Nunavummiut in all 25 communities.

Reporting to the Director of Fiscal Policy, the Manager of Fiscal and Economic Policy leads a team of professionals responsible for developing GN’s overall fiscal framework and monitoring its performance relative to financial trends in jurisdictions that influence the government’s current fiscal position.
