Overview

As a Mechanical Failure Analysis Specialist (Tech Lead) – Salvage, you will be responsible for supporting OEM’s Salvage departments through communicating technical information and developing documentation and related processes. This will be in support of OEM’s strategy of building high quality components by relying on strong processes and detailed documentation to improve quality, repeatability, and accuracy. Combine Caterpillar Technical information with OEM process and procedures to create clear and concise support documentation. Coordinate with Value Streams to validate technical specifications and shop floor practices to ensure final production meets the appropriate final product requirements. Produce or arrange illustrative drawings and photographs to be included in the documentation.
