Position Overview

Medical Oncologist – BC Cancer – Vancouver Centre, Regular Full Time: 1.0 FTE.

The department has a current staff of 51 Medical Oncologists and a longstanding reputation for clinical excellence and academia. This full service cancer centre has strong radiation oncology, surgical oncology, diagnostic imaging, pathology, oral oncology, supportive care and functional imaging services and an inpatient unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality cancer care to patients.
• Primarily treat Gastrointestinal (GI) tumors.
• Support activities of the Vancouver Medical Oncology Program and UBC Medical Oncology Training Program, including teaching postgraduate trainees and undergraduate medical students.

Qualifications

• Fellowship standing in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, with a certificate of Special Competence in Medical Oncology.
