Municipal Law Enforcement Officer II (Compliance Officer) - Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor – Municipal Enforcement Services, the Municipal Enforcement Officer acts as the primary responder for all animal control calls-for-service, impoundments and related investigations, while also being able to assist in achieving compliance of all other municipal by‑laws and provincial statutes (as a Provincial Offences Officer), as authorized and directed. Performs initial complaint investigations, confirms infractions and determines the most appropriate responses. Participates in proactive compliance monitoring or targeted enforcement to assist other MLEO’s in enforcement of all municipal by‑laws, including parking/traffic and Provincial statutes applicable to municipalities, as directed. Participates in the day‑to‑day operations of the Municipal Enforcement Services Section.
