Nurse Practitioner AA

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse Practitioner/Trainee Nurse Practitioner within the Pre-assessment suite at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse to help support the Senior Charge Nurse in delivering a clinically effective service preparing patients for admission for surgery. The post will be primarily Monday to Friday depending on the needs of the service.
The pre-assessment nurse practitioner is an autonomous practitioner who will support the Senior Charge Nurse, working closely with other Nurse Practitioner colleagues, Consultant Anaesthetists and Surgeons in managing waiting list patients attending for elective surgical and orthopaedic procedures. The nurse practitioner will provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care by carrying out a comprehensive medical assessment, physical examination and manage ongoing medical needs of elective patients to facilitate planned admission for surgery.
