Nursing Attendant

JOB SUMMARY

To provide non-nursing clinical support to patients, families and staff at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. Responsibilities include providing assistance to patients, families and center staff in preparing for clinical examinations, responding to inquiries from patients, families, physicians and staff members as appropriate; distributing materials, ordering supplies, running errands etc. and to provide relief and support for Nursing Attendant Outpatient Clinics.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and to work collaboratively within a team of caregivers.

General good health and a level of fitness appropriate for the demands of the position.

EDUCATION/TRAINING EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 education - required
• Recent practical clinical related experience would be considered an asset
• Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide/Personal Support Worker course required
