OB/GYN Opportunities Full-time and Locum Opportunity

We are looking for a full‑time Obstetrician/Gynecologist to join our team at the Brightshores Health System (BSH) hospital in Owen Sound, Ontario. Short/long‑term locum opportunities are also available.

We are a Level 2 centre with an intrapartum nurse caring for babies 32 w+ and we have about 800 births per year. We provide 24/7 support from anaesthesia, paediatrics, general surgery and urology, and excellent diagnostic imaging. We also offer consultative support to a large catchment area including several nearby Level 1 hospitals and maintain a collegial relationship with local midwives.

In a full‑time position you will provide comprehensive community gynecology services, including consults and surgical services, and comprehensive obstetric care. On‑call requirements are 1:6 and can be performed from home if you are within 20 minutes of the hospital. You may supplement income by picking up extra call shifts.
