Main Purpose and Function
The Operations Worker III is responsible for skilled and semi-skilled construction and maintenance tasks with a specialization in chain link fence construction, playground and other recreational equipment maintenance. The duties require heavy physical effort and may involve working in hazardous conditions. Operation Worker III’s are responsible for adhering to established work and safety standards and depending on the complexity of the work required, may work under close direction, guidance and supervision.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The Operation Worker III is responsible for the construction and maintenance of metal, wood and plastic structures, components and hardware. Items typically included but are not limited to are baseball backstops, tennis courts, fences, gates, flag poles, gymnasium and playground equipment.
