Position description

The Canadian Studies program at Mount Allison University invites applications for a part-time position in the Spring 2026 semester. The Spring semester runs from May 4 to June 19, 2026. Salary will be calculated on a per-student basis. 

The successful candidate will teach an online, synchronous class called CANA 2211 Media and Popular Culture in Canada. The course meets online twice a week through Microsoft Teams for a total of five hours per week.

The course description from the Academic Calendar is: This course explores the key institutions and issues relating to media and popular culture in Canada. Topics include: film, television, state institutions like the CBC, state regulation of media, and the connections among media, consumerism, and public life.

Experience teaching interdisciplinary courses in Canadian Studies is a major asset.
