Role and Facility Information

Join a collegial team of eight colleagues and establish a consulting community practice with a 1:7 funded on-call schedule. Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (224 acute beds) has a dedicated pediatric ward and new outpatient facility supported by a core team of pediatric nurses, dietician, diabetic nurse educator, and a full-time child life worker. The hospital has a new state‑of‑the‑art 9‑bed, level 2b NICU, providing provincial beds to infants >32 weeks' gestation, including short-term ventilation and TPN. The Nanaimo medical community offers the opportunity for teaching and is a UBC Postgraduate Family Practice Residency Program site.

Qualifications, Education and Skills

• Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
