Canadian Blood Services is hiring a Regular part‑time Phlebotomist (Donor Centre Associate) to join the Collections team in the ON-Kingston donor centre.
Responsibilities
The Collections team collects donor blood and blood components safely. In this role you will:
- Conduct registration and confidential screening to determine eligibility and promote a positive donor experience.
- Follow procedures for safe processing, handling of blood products, and donor privacy.
- Perform venipuncture according to standards, monitor donor safety and comfort, and provide post‑donation care and instruction.
- Ensure accuracy of product information and product labelling in the computer system, and prepare products.
- Drive continuous improvement by sharing knowledge and supporting best practices.
- Assist in setting up booths and equipment for mobile community events.
