Position Summary

The physiotherapist will provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs. The role requires adherence to CPTA standards and scope of practice, delivering daily treatment to extended‑stay orthopedic patients, and participating in team assessments with physicians and surgeons. The physiotherapist must work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate assessments and subsequent treatment for extended‑stay patients.
• Work with patients to determine the need for and arrange aids such as crutches, walkers, and raised toilet seats.
• Conduct exercise sessions for patients and ensure their suitability for discharge.
