Planner (Halifax Regional Municipality)

Position Overview

Responsible for preparing work orders and instructions, ensuring compliance with the approved maintenance program and aircraft work standards. Planners develop process plans, material requirements, labor estimates, and tooling requirements for aircraft programs and component production.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and estimate detail manufacture, repair & overhaul, process and assembly sequences of production work.
• Ensure work readiness, including detailed review, interdepartmental coordination, issue resolution, and deployment of work to the floor.
• Research and review technical data for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure correct and approved maintenance program data is called out within the Process Planning documentation and maintained.
• Ensure correct product conformance procedures, including handling of non-conforming material, are followed and recorded.
