Plant MRO Buyer

Responsibilities

• Develop suppliers and execute savings projects.
• Ensure each purchased item has an adequate supplier and support expediting processes.
• Place purchase orders for indirect material or services and provide support to plant areas such as Manufacturing, Maintenance, Logistics, Engineering, and Quality.
• Monitor vendor performance and coordinate with Purchasing for corrective actions to improve vendor development.
• Resolve problems related to delivery, pricing, and invoicing promptly to avoid material shortages.
• Implement material‑related projects and resolve discrepancy problems.
• Comply with the JCI Safety Commitment Letter and participate in safety subcommittees, safety audits, risk assessments, and the EHS program.
• Support the plant training program, provide staff training, and define corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain system logs and review procedures and instructions.
