Postdoctoral Fellowship in LPMO Inhibitor Design

Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen

This externally funded postdoctoral fellowship focuses on developing inhibitors for lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) from plant pathogens. The project, financed by the Independent Research Fund Denmark, is part of a larger collaboration involving Danish and international partners.

Start date: 1 October 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is limited to 24 months.

Project Description

The postdoctoral researcher will design and synthesize potential inhibitors of LPMOs. The research involves two main tasks:

  • Design of inhibitors based on known structures of different LPMOs, involving computational inhibitor design.
  • Synthesis and characterization of the inhibitors.
