A postdoctoral fellow (PDF) position is available in the BaCoR lab (Building a Culture of Resilience) led by Dr. Haorui Wu, Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Disaster and Resilience, within the School of Social Work, Faculty of Health, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The PDF will support various research projects examining human-animal interactions in disaster settings across Canada and internationally, such as (1) veterinary professionals’ involvement in disaster response; (2) human-animal bonds in rural communities; (3) animal-inclusive disaster preparedness; and (4) animal-friendly infrastructure, One Health, and One Welfare. Job responsibilities include qualitative and quantitative research design, implementation, data analysis, and publication.
