Overview

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. Work setting: Private sector. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).

Responsibilities

• Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services.
• Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased.
• Negotiate offers from suppliers.
• Consult with suppliers.
• Review quotations.
• Establish delivery schedules.
• Monitor progress of delivery schedules.
• Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems.
• Provide customer service.

Supervision

Supervision: 1 to 2 people.
