Procurement Specialist III

Description

The Procurement Specialist III is a professional position in the Contracting and Commissioning Oversight (C&CO) with Acute Care Alberta (ACA). This position is responsible for coordinating activities relating to the competitive bidding process, sourcing strategy, negotiations, preparing contract documents, assisting with contract implementation and contract management. The role involves strategic negotiations, managing and administering various types of agreements, developing collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and assessing the needs of AHS to identify emerging issues. It requires a strong working knowledge of healthcare, implementation strategies, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize among multiple initiatives and timelines.
