Production Bird Care Technician (6-Month Contract, M-F 2:00-10:00pm)

Bird Care Technician

Monday–Friday, 2:00–10:00 pm.

The Poultry Barn Cleaner and Bird Care Technician will be responsible for the bird room cleaning and bird care, ensuring that all aspects of animal care and vaccine production are in compliance with approved Outlines of Production, Special Outlines and Standard Operating Procedures. Additionally, the technician may assist in vaccine production and may be required to work weekends after initial training.

Responsibilities

• Weekly inventory check of supplies
• Clean and sanitize production and animal facilities
• Maintenance and care of birds and bird rooms
• Order feed and supplies as needed
• Assist with inoculation of birds
• Assist with production of different Eimeria species in the laboratory per the production schedule
