Project Biologist (Contract)

Overview

McTavish Resource & Management Consultants Ltd. is a British Columbia lower mainland-based company which provides professional services in the areas of agriculture, environment, resource management, forestry, and business. We are currently seeking a contract Project Biologist, to join our growing environment team for the upcoming Field Season.

Responsibilities

• Hold technical responsibility and ownership for data management, technical quality and execution, and general oversight of project field programs.
• Supervise and be accountable for the execution of environmental surveys (i.e., breeding birds, sensitive raptors, terrestrial wildlife, aquatics, and vegetation); this includes providing survey kick-offs, coordination of data entry, and providing guidance to junior field biologists and other staff during the field season.
• Provide technical support on projects that interact with biophysical environments.
