What Is The Opportunity?
The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated joint venture of Aecon and Framatome, located in Kincardine, Ontario. SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) project and includes the removal of the steam generators and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. In addition to the existing contracts for Units 3 and 4, SGRT has been awarded contracts for Units 5, 7, and 8 for steam generator replacements.
