Job Description

Position Summary

Full service psychiatry consultant position for a 23 bed Schedule One Facility. Working collaboratively with a highly involved group of family physicians in an established community mental health program and with community agencies. Assessment and treatment of mental illnesses through multiple modalities, including psychotherapy, ECT, hospitalization, and medication. Teaching opportunities exist on an ongoing basis.

Primary Responsibilities

On-Call

• Provision of on-call services based at OSMH (1 in 4) with support from mental health hospitalists and crisis intervention staff.
• Consultation for OSMH credentialed staff and regional partners.
• Participation and cooperation as a contributing team member.
• Provision of out-patient consultations.
