POSITION SUMMARY

Our client is a leading global Pediatric Health organization with over 400 staff and physicians dedicated to helping children and youth live their best lives. They are currently seeking a Psychologist for the Mental Health Acute Care Service . The Psychologist will be part of an interdisciplinary team providing services to children, youth, and caregivers with significant mental health needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Provides psychodiagnostics and psychological assessments, and contributes to case conceptualization. Offers therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups using empirically-supported modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Emotion Focused Skills Training (EFST).
2. Provides time-limited care post-discharge focused on safety and brief therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
