Radiology Support Technician

Primary function is to provide efficient inpatient, outpatient, and ED patient throughput in all areas of the Radiology department to include but not limited to Ultrasound, CT, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and MRI. This individual will ensure a safe patient environment with visual patient observation, coordinating arrivals and returns according to patient needs and medical condition. This individual will be responsible for all requests, both to and from the Radiology Department. The Supervisors of each modality will provide ancillary support and direction for the daily workflow and communicating any specific requests or concerns.

An integral component consists of strong, interpersonal skills with an emphasis on collaboration with support services, physicians, technologists, patients, and families.
