Regional Epidemiologist, Public Health Surveillance Unit

The salary range for this position is CAD $46.39/Hr. - CAD $66.68/Hr. Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Regional Epidemiologist for its Public Health Surveillance Unit. Join a team dedicated to monitoring disease trends and implementing prevention strategies across Vancouver Coastal Health.

Responsibilities

• Monitor disease trends and health indicators to guide prevention strategies.
• Establish, maintain, and periodically evaluate regional surveillance data for diseases and health determinants.
• Collaborate and consult with program areas within the Office of the Chief Medical Health Officer and other public health stakeholders.
• Develop internal and external partnerships with medical officers, nurses, environmental health officers, infection control practitioners, population health, health protection, emergency management, regional and federal epidemiologists, and laboratories.
