Job Description
Apply all aspects of the nursing process to the care of the surgical day patient in a professional and multi-disciplinary team. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing care to patients in the PACU and Pre-Admission Clinic.
Qualifications
Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of OntarioCurrent Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hireACLS Certification required at time of hire and ongoingCurrent 3-5 years Surgical Day Care nursing experience requiredCurrent 3-5 years PACU nursing experience required.Critical Care Nursing course and/or PACU course required.Coronary Care 1 and 2 preferredExperience with administering IV drugs below the drip chambers, central lines, Epidural/ PCA pump, ECG machines, invasive pressure monitoring required.Experience wit...
