Registered Nurse, Mental Health - Temporary Full Time (1.0) (until January 2027)

Compensation Pay Range : $41.15-$58.98

Reporting to the Clinical Manager in Mental Health, the RN will be part of the multidisciplinary team that offers crisis intervention, assessment and treatment for children and adolescents who have complex and severe mental health issues.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients and families.
• Function in an in‑charge role when required.
• Participate in the development and implementation of inpatient programming.
• Offer support/counselling to individual patients and their families.
• Provide appropriate learning experiences for the patient and family.
• Offer mentoring experience to students and new staff.
• Conduct mental health assessments of children/youth and their families.
• Liaise with the CHEO Emergency Department staff and psychiatry on‑call services.
