Description

The Tuberculosis (TB) Public Health Nurse (PHN) works within Public Health, CDC & Screening of Primary Care Alberta and reports to the Manager of the Edmonton TB Clinic. Using the nursing process, you deliver services to individuals, groups, and communities including screening, case management of active disease and latent infection, outbreak investigation and contact tracing, surveillance, and education. The PHN acts as a resource to healthcare providers within the Edmonton Zone (i.e., Public Health Centres, WHS, Infection Prevention & Control, physicians, community agencies, and the public). The PHN will collaborate with community agencies and external health and social service providers to further coordinate client care for individuals and families that meet their broad health needs.
